CLASS RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules are to be followed at all times by trainees attending classes given by Tri Cities Dog Training Club
HEALTH REQUIREMENT
You will be required to show veterinarian proof of UP-TO-DATE vaccinations for your dog before your dog is allowed in the training building or on the training floor. It is recommended that your dog be checked for and is free of INTERNAL / EXTERNAL PARASITES.
Dogs that are ill or suspected of illness or dogs that have had a canine infectious disease are not permitted to attend class until they have a health certificate from their veterinarian.
Dogs that are lame or the instructor determines that the dog is not able to work comfortably may not be allowed to train on the floor for that class period.
PAYMENTS / REFUNDS
Training fees must be paid before you and your dogs are allowed to work on the training floor. Also, a signed release form must accompany fees.
Once a dog has been worked on the floor, there will be no refunds.
There will be a $25 fee assessed for checks returned for insufficient funds. This fee must be paid before the trainee can enter classes and must be paid in cash or MO
CLEAN UP
Please exercise (allow your dog to relieve itself) before you come to class. Should your dog have an accident in the training facility or grounds it is your responsibility to clean up. Your instructor will be more than happy to hold your dog for you.
There is an exercise area located at the back of the parking lot of the building. Please…do not let your dog relieve itself on or around the building. A bucket and clean up tools are provided by the club. It is your responsibility to pick up after your dog. Please report any violations of this rule to your instructor! By picking up after our dogs, we are allowed to continue to use this facility.
TRAINING ON THE FLOOR
Dogs must be held on a leash at all times, except those being worked in advanced classes where the dogs are expected to be off lead.
All dogs must be under control and not left unattended at any time posted Building Rules outside a training ring and kept quiet while in the building or class location. This also includes when entering or exiting the training building or area.
When entering the building, students must keep their dogs from visiting other dogs. For your safety and the safety of others and the safely of all the dogs, do not let your dog make contact with another dog.
PROPER CLOTHING MUST BE WORN… TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK ON THE TRAINING FLOOR, HANDLERS MAY NOT WEAR OPEN-TOED, OPENHEELED, OR HIGH HEELED SHOES.
All dogs must wear appropriate equipment, which will be determined by the instructor of the class.
Dogs may not be worked on mats reserved for a class. Cutting across rings during a training session will not be allowed.
OTHER
For the safety of all class members and instructors, if any dog enrolled in TCDTC classes displays aggression on one or more occasions the owner’s dog may be REQUIRED TO WEAR A MUZZLE DURING TRAINING CLASSES, INCLUDING ENTERING AND LEAVING THE BUILDING or may be asked to leave the class.
People arriving early for classes are asked to stand or sit quietly on the sidelines, keeping conversations to a minimum.
Dogs are not allowed in the restroom.
Visitors are welcome to watch a class. However, they may not interfere either verbally or physically with a class. Young people under the age of 15 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Violators WILL be asked to leave.
Trainees must keep their children quiet and under control at all times.
Disorderly conduct on the training premises may result in dismissal from the training facility.
Attack trained dogs ARE NOT allowed on the premises.
For instructional classes enrollment is as a "team" specified at the start of the class. Change of dogs within these classes is not allowed. However, with the permission of the instructor, immediate family members can work the dog if a class member can not attend.
Students and visitors must also comply with posted Building Rules.
