Advanced Basic Obedience Class - APR2025

Service Description

For dogs who have completed our TCDTC Basic Level 2 Obedience class , or have obtained the permission of the instructor. Class meets weekly at 8-9 pm for 10 weeks. NOTE: TCDTC club members may drop in without prior registration to participate as a group heeling practice class. Registration is, however, appreciated for anyone anticipating multiple weekly visits. Please contact Janet for member promotional code to use for registration. Focus is on continuation of basic work with emphasis on improving response to commands and increasing reliability. Class provides a lot of proofing with distractions to improve performance. Some work is done off-leash, depending on dog and handler skills. PROOF of VACCINES, provided as a recent, printed veterinarian office's record copy, MUST BE SUBMITTED the night of orientation. (Prior records for former classes are not kept.) Required vaccines that must be up to date: Distemper/Parvo and Rabies. Bordetella is not required but highly recommended. Flea Prevention should be given monthly. Equipment: dogs need 6’ leash, buckle or training collar, favorite toy and/or soft treats.
