You can visit AKC.org to see what you need to do to obtain an AKC registration number for your purebred or mixed breed dog. Handlers will need to obtain this registration number if they don't already have one in order to submit test outcomes to AKC for official Trick Dog titles. Note: AKC offers a range registration options for the full range of dogs in the USA. "Full AKC Registration" is offered for pedigreed purebreds; "AKC Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) " is available for purebred dogs of AKC-registrable breeds NOT eligible for full registration; and the third type, the "AKC Canine Partners" registration includes dogs that are mixed breeds and non-AKC registrable purebreds. Titles for AKC Trick Dog can be submitted with testing documentation up to 6 mos. after testing. Note that registration for any dog registered as a PAL or AKC Canine Partner requires dogs to be spayed or neutered. ----------------- With an AKC registration, many fun and sporting AKC events are open to all dogs: events such as Obedience, Agility, Rally, FastCAT, Scentwork and more. Trick Dog training is fun and playful for both you and your dog!! Many Therapy Dogs working in communities throughout the country hold TK titles -- it is wholesome fun to show off a dog's trained antics while visiting senior citizens, patients, kids and adults in any community. **This listing is for the Trick Dog Test ONLY**.
