Trick Dog (Novice & Intermed) Seminar

Service Description
Did you know that AKC now has titles for your dog doing tricks? Can your dog shake hands, do high five, fetch, jump a bar, spin circles, speak on command, do paws up, touch, kiss your cheek, etc? Did you know if your dog has an AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title, then you only have to do 5 tricks at the examination to earn an AKC Trick Dog Novice title (10 tricks are required at the examination session if your dog has not yet earned their AKC CGC title.) After passing the Novice level examination, 10 additional tricks are required to earn the AKC Intermediate Level title. Come to our seminar and have fun with your dog and possibly work towards an AKC Trick Title! Bring your dog, a collar, a 6-foot leash and high-interest soft treats to all sessions. The two-week seminar (Mondays, April 3 & 10, seminar meeting approx. 1 hr. each week) will be followed by regulation AKC Trick Dog testing on Monday, April 17. Testing for AKC Trick Dog Titles is wholly optional and requires a separate minimum $15 fee (testing fees are paid to instructor at last meeting of the seminar or at the following week's testing). Equipment: 6’ leash, collar, high interest soft treats to all classes. BRING DOG TO FIRST CLASS Trick Dog Seminar Dates: April 3 & 10, $50 for 2 weeks Trick Dog Testing: April 17, $15 for 1st Trick Dog level, + $10 for 2nd Trick Dog level (TKN and TKI are levels offered) Time: All sessions run approx. 6-7:00 pm Pay for desired testing levels at the last seminar training session, or you can pay on site at the testing session on April 17. Limit 8 student/handlers and their dogs. Instructor: Pauline Baudoux RE: Taking the Trick Dog TEST/Examination following our 2 week Trick Dog Seminar is WHOLLY OPTIONAL. The Trick Dog examination fees (applicable for AKC certification) are: A base $15 charge for the first testing level examination (choose level Novice or Intermediate ). Handlers MAY pay $10 add’l for the second additional level ALL $15/$10 exam fees are payable to the instructor either at the last seminar class or @ the Trick Dog examination session. Trick dog testing on April 17 is not required to participate in the training seminar April 3 & 10. TWO-week Trick Dog Seminar sign up: required in advance.
